A stage adaptation of Walt Disney’s classic movie “Mary Poppins” opens at the Moonlight Stage in Vista on July 16.
The classic 1964 film has been reimagined as a new musical, with a book by Downton Abbey’s Julian Fellowes. It features the unforgettable songs of the movie, plus new musical numbers and spectacular effects. The hit Broadway show is appropriate for all ages, and has amassed more than 40 theatre awards from around the globe.
Jessica Bernard is Mary Poppins and Leigh Wakeford is the chimney sweep Bert. Abby Despain and Nate Carman play the children Jane and Michael Banks. The show is directed and choreographed by John Vaughan.
