The museum in Balboa Park is far from the wildfires in north and east San Diego County. I
The institution’s education team will be offering extra programs and activities for children.
We offer our support and hope for the safety of all San Diego county residents,” museum officials said.
The museum is the San Diego region’s oldest, largest and most visited art museum. Its permanent collection includes Spanish and Italian old masters, South Asian paintings, and 19th- and 20th-century American paintings and sculptures.
Current exhibitions include “Spanish Sojourns: Robert Henri and the Spirit of Spain,” the first museum exhibition dedicated to the Spanish paintings of Robert Henri (1865-1929). Henri was one of the most influential American artists of the early 20th century.
