FILM: The San Diego Latino Film Festival concludes this weekend with dozens of screenings Friday-Sunday, and a closing night party. Individual movie tickets are $8.50 members, $9 students and seniors, $11 general admission.

FAMILY: The San Diego Festival of Science & Engineering EXPO Day takes place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday downtown at Petco Park. Scientists, engineers and educators will get kids engaged in hands-on activities designed to inspire creativity and innovation. Free.

THEATRE: The School for Lies ends its five-week run at the North Coast Rep with performances at 8 p.m. Friday, 2 and 8 p.m. Saturday, and 2 p.m. Sunday.The David Ives play is adapted from Moliere’s The Misanthrope.  Tickets are $36-$41.
