A man was injured when he was struck while riding his motorcycle in Rolando Saturday.

The man, reported to be in his 20s, was riding west on University Avenue at its intersection with Aragon Drive on a green light when a van made a left turn in front of him, according to Officer Tony Martinez of the San Diego Police Department.

The biker suffered a broken right leg and broken arm, and was taken to a nearby hospital.

Neither drugs nor alcohol were believed to be a contributing factor in the collision, Martinez said.
