Cannabis affects childhood brain development, is ‘real risk’ for teens, UCSD finds in long-term study
There are some juggernauts in San Diego – these businesses and attractions have their fans, and their foes, but regardless you know them well.
We have two names in the news today, one of which you hear about a lot. UC San Diego is breaking ground again, this time with a new study of cannabis and its potential effects on youth and brain development. As you would suspect, the researchers have concerns after analyzing a large set of data linked to a decade-long study. Thomas Murphy has more on their findings – and other experts who have some reservations.
The San Diego Growlers, on the other hand, are a relatively unknown quantity. The competitive frisbee team is trying to find its place in a sports market where the Padres, the Wave, SDFC and SDSU basketball have first dibs on local fans’ attention. The idea of pro frisbee may throw you, but there are Ultimate Frisbee Association franchises throughout the country.
