Overview: KnB Bistro has options
There is a nice assortment of salads and soups as well as sandwiches such as a sesame-seared tuna sandwich or spicy chicken that could pair nicely with a beer or glass of wine.
Walking into KnB Bistro can be overwhelming.
The walls of this half-restaurant, half-bottle shop are floor-to-ceiling with every alcohol imaginable: Wine, bourbon, craft beer and everything in between.
Two walls are floor-to-ceiling wine and beer refrigerators. All beverages are hand-selected by a team of managers and wine and beer sommeliers.
“My husband and I purchased KnB in 2008,” said co-owner Leadya Konja. “We started as a wine bar with tapas and have morphed into a full commercial kitchen. We want to serve quality to the neighborhood.
“We have 32 beers on tap. We have something for everybody. If you can’t find your favorite beer on tap, we have it in the cooler. Our extensive wine selection features international wines including an assortment from Baja.”
You can enjoy breakfast, lunch, dinner, and brunch.
They also serve small treats, such as KnB street tacos or elote bites, which are masa-battered corn bites filled with lime, cilantro, chili, and cheese served with spicy ranch dressing.
There is a nice assortment of salads and soups as well as sandwiches such as a sesame-seared tuna sandwich or spicy chicken that could pair nicely with a beer or glass of wine. If you enjoy flatbreads, the roasted mushroom flatbread is a unique specialty.
KnB – which stands for Keg and Barrel – offers many events during the week, such as no corkage fees (for in-house wines purchased for more than $15.99 a bottle) on Mondays and Thursdays.
Taco Tuesdays and Trivia Night on Sundays from 6 to 8 p.m. are options too. Come try your luck.
“We bring in visiting chefs and offer steak and bourbon dinners, or food and wine pairing dinners,” addedKonja.
Their cozy ambience, delicious food, strong spirits, and bubbling brews are an all-in-one unique experience.
Follow KnB on Instagram to be up-to-date on all the events happening. They are located at 6380 Del Cerro Blvd, next door to Windmill Farms, or give them a call at (619) 452-1777.
Grub Hub and Doordash serve them if you prefer to have your food delivered to you.
