Firefighters battled a vegetation fire in the Kensington area on Sunday afternoon.
Units were initially dispatched at 2:20 p.m., and arrived a few minutes later to 4307 Alder Drive, near the intersection of Hart Drive, said the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department.
A total of 44 personnel were assigned to the fire, including one water tender, two brush rigs and four engines.
No injuries or evacuations were immediately reported. The cause of the fire is so far unknown.
The city of Poway assisted in the effort.
