
Firefighters were working a vegetation fire that broke out on a rural Poway road Sunday afternoon.
The fire was reported at around 12:40 p.m. at 15400 Highway 67, near the intersection of Mina De Oro Road, said the San Diego County Fire Department.
Poway Fire was assisting in the effort.
Officials advised avoiding the area due to firefighters working along the roadway.
Northbound state Route 67 was closed at Poway Road, while the southbound lanes was re-opened to traffic, said Caltrans.
No structure damage or evacuations were immediately reported, and the cause of the fire was unclear.
