An Oak Park store was robbed of cash and alcohol by five suspects, two armed with guns, the San Diego Police Department said Thursday.

The latest “takeover style” robbery took place at 9:28 p.m. Wednesday in the 3100 block of 54th Street.

Officer John Buttle said the five suspects who entered the store went up to the register and removed cash and took alcohol.

The group was last seen running from the store in an unknown direction.

Police have asked for the public’s help in identifying the perpetrators of at least 10 similar armed robberies of convenience stores over the past six weeks.
