The San Diego Padres 2015 FanFest this Saturday is sold out, but the team is still giving fans a chance to take a look at the plethora of new faces on the Padres.
The team announced this information on Thursday:
“For fans who did not pre-register before the event reached capacity, a limited number of Park Passes are expected to be released on site the day of the event. A standby line will be in place at the main ticket windows on Park Blvd. on April 4 for that purpose. Due to overwhelming demand for this event, re-entry will not be permitted, even for fans who pre-registered. As guests exit the ballpark, those in the standby line will be granted entry in their place.”
For fans who already registered for the event, the gates will open at 9 a.m. and 8 a.m. for Padres Members.
The team will hold a fan forum at 10:3o a.m. that will include Opening Day starting pitcher James Shields, Manager Bud Black, President/CEO Mike Dee and General Manager A.J. Preller.
The team will also hold its annual Garage Sale where fans will have a chance to buy Padres memorabilia and game-used equipment.
There will also be many other activities in which members of the team, coaches and alumni will participate in.
The FanFest will conclude with an exhibition between the Padres and the Mexico City Red Devils of the Mexican Baseball League at 2 p.m.
