Experience Chinese dance, culture and a bit of politics with Shen Yun at the San Diego Civic Theater. The performance runs Saturday and Sunday. Ticket prices vary.
Celebrate the San Diego Zoo’s 100th anniversary this weekend. The world famous zoo has a special line-up of events and exhibits to celebrate the milestone.
The Mingei International Museum in Balboa Park is hosting an exhibition of 36 flags from Ghana. The colorful flags date back to the late 19th century and were commissioned by military organizations known as “asafo.” The exhibit runs through July 10.
Mission Valley Craft Beer and Food Festival
The annual craft beer and food festival returns to Mission Valley for the sixth time this Saturday. Attendees can expect to sample from dozens of breweries and goods from restaurants such as Sausage & Meat and Slater’s 50/50. Tickets are $50.
