It’s, for the most part, impossible to follow the every move of San Diego’s elected officials. On top of that it can be just as difficult to understand why certain decisions are made at City Hall, and what those decisions mean for San Diegans.
Well, let us introduce the San Diego Politics Show.
Times of San Diego’s Editor and General Manager Andrew Keatts is teaming up with Matt Strabone to bring you the pulse of San Diego politics and no-nonsense answers from our elected officials.
Every other Sunday we’ll be going live at 9am on the San Diego Politics Show YouTube channel with segments surrounding pertinent local issues.
Our pilot episode features District 9 Council Member Sean Elo-Rivera who sat down with Keatts to talk taxes and fees, short-term vacation rentals, affordability and his philosophy on making out-of-towners, not residents, pay for city services.
And Strabone hosted a panel discussion with two long-time Balboa Park experts and officials to talk about the controversial paid parking proposal that’s dominating city politics right now.
Check out our first episode, and stay tuned for the next one, releasing Feb. 15.
