A car struck and killed a pedestrian in Mira Mesa Friday, authorities reported.
A southbound Honda hit the man on Black Mountain Road at Gemini Avenue shortly before 5:30 a.m., according to the San Diego Police Department.
Paramedics took the victim to a hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead, the department said. His identity has not been released.
Police closed Black Mountain Road to through traffic while investigating.
