The light-bedecked boat parade, which starts near Crown Point and ends near De Anza Cove, is set for Saturday, Dec. 13, from 4 to 8 p.m.
Billed as “boatloads of family fun on Mission Bay,” the annual December spectacle has become a beloved event, delighting viewers with its creativity and the effort that goes into decorating a brilliant floating light display.
“The Parade of Lights was started and has been organized by Mission Bay Yacht Club since the 1970s,” said John Campbell, the club’s manager.
Kick off this holiday tradition with SeaWorld’s fireworks and then watch the boats parade around the bay from designated spectator viewing areas all along the route.
