California Gets Reprieve on Colorado River Water, But Arizona and Nevada Face Cutbacks

The federal government on Tuesday spared five Western states from immediate Colorado River water cutbacks, but continued existing limits for Arizona and Nevada and warned that drastic conservation was needed to protect dwindling reservoirs from severe drought.
