
San Diego FC (13-7-4, 43 pts) returns home to Snapdragon Stadium on Friday for a first-ever meeting against Eastern Conference contender Nashville SC (14-5-5, 47 pts).
Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. with live coverage on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV, and local English and Spanish radio broadcasts on San Diego Sports 760 AM and TUDN 1700 AM.
East vs. West Showdown
Both clubs sit near the top of their respective conferences. San Diego leads the Western Conference, while Nashville is second in the East, one point behind FC Cincinnati.
San Diego is coming off a 1-1 home draw against Vancouver Whitecaps FC, highlighted by Ian Pilcher’s first MLS goal. The result extended SDFC’s home record to 6-3-4, and brought its total to 43 points in 24 matches.
Young Backline Steps Up
SDFC was without eight regulars in the match against Vancouver, including defender Christopher McVey, who missed his first game of the season. In his absence, the club fielded one of the youngest starting backlines in MLS history:
