The San Diego Fleet on Wednesday signed former San Diego State kicker Donny Hageman and cut former Syracuse kicker Cole Murphy, three days before the Alliance of American Football team makes its debut by playing at San Antonio.

Hageman was the Aztecs special teams MVP in 2014 when he was second on the team with 97 points. He was selected as the Mountain West Conference‘s best kicker under pressure by The Sporting News.

Hageman is the eighth San Diego State alumnus on the Fleet’s 52-player roster.
