The San Diego Chargers and cornerback Brandon Flowers agreed to a four-year $36 million dollar contract on Sunday, according to a report from ESPN.

Flowers signed a one year deal worth $3 million last offseason and served as the team’s No. 1 corner for the 14 games that he started.

He amassed 52 total tackles, 11 pass breakups and led the team with three interceptions.

Before joining the Chargers Flowers spent six seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs and established himself as one of the better cornerbacks in the NFL, making the Pro Bowl in 2013.

With Flowers back in the mix, the Chargers secondary will look similar to last year with Shareece Wright as the No. 2 corner and the team will hopefully have the services of 2014 first round pick Jason Verrett who missed 10 games last season due to a torn labrum.
