To kick off 2026, the Mid-City Fire Safe Councils are hosting a wildfire safety event on Wednesday, January 21, at 6 p.m. A light dinner will be provided, with the program beginning at 6:30 p.m.

Staying one step ahead of potential disaster is always a good thing, especially when fire is involved.

To that end and to kick off 2026, the Mid-City Fire Safe Councils are hosting a wildfire safety event on Wednesday, January 21, at 6 p.m. A light dinner will be provided, with the program beginning at 6:30 p.m.

Involving fire councils from Alvarado Estates, College Canyons, College East, Greater Golden Hill, Kensington, Normal Heights, Rolando Park, and Talmadge, the event will take place at the Kroc Center, 6611 University Avenue in the Rolando Room (Building E).

The event will include evacuation planning and safety presentations by San Diego Fire-Rescue, the San Diego Community Emergency Response Team, the Red Cross, and neighborhood FSCs. For further information, email talmadgefiresafe@gmail.com or scan the QR code below to RSVP.
