Where to debut your costume

Happy (almost) Halloween, everyone! I hope you all are better planners than I am and have a costume lined up. If you’re anything like me, you’ll put on a lot of fun makeup, an outfit from the depths of your closet and claim your costume is too niche to be immediately understood.

If this last-minute mentality resonates, I’m here to help with another crucial part of the day: your plans for Halloween night.

– Nightmare on Normal Street is from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. The most iconic Halloween celebration is obviously located in Hillcrest, the home of extravaganza. There’s some serious motivation to have the greatest getup as the costume contest boasts over $4,000 in prizes. Purchase your tickets ahead of time.

– Halgloween at the San Diego Zoo is an option for all ages. The activities start at 5 p.m. and take place at a variety of locations. Check out the website to see when and where different activities will be.

– Halloween on Maryland Street goes from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. The University Heights Community Association is advertising a street that goes all out for the holiday. If you haven’t gotten your fix of haunted houses for the year, here it is.
