Today’s newsletter is presented by addressSD.com.
Hello, Pacific and Mission Beach!
Let’s celebrate the season of giving thanks.
As we head into the start of the holidays, I always like to take stock of what I’m grateful for. Last week I put out a call to share what makes you grateful to live in Pacific and Mission Beach.
Here’s some of what you had to say:
“PB is a town that grows with you — from the bars on Garnet in my 20’s to now with kids at the local schools!” — Lee Skiles
“I’m grateful to live in Pacific Beach because it’s so dog-friendly, full of people who genuinely enjoy life, and home to fun traditions like the Santa Run that make the community feel connected and alive.” — Kathy Dryden
“The sunsets! I love the way people come together at the beach to watch the sunset. It’s a true community feel when everyone stops everything as the sun starts to melt into the horizon. Usually followed by a couple claps, smiles, a possible ‘did you see the green flash?!’ It reminds me that we are all in this experience together.” — Amy Kreston
I got a lot of feedback about sunsets and the beach, as well as neighbors who know each other by name and look out for one another. Personally, I’m grateful to live in such a walkable neighborhood. I’m sure we can all agree that we’re very lucky to be part of the beach community.
The newsletter will be off next week for Thanksgiving, so you’ll hear from me again in two weeks. Wishing you and yours a wonderful holiday!
