Hello, Uptown!

The North Park Music Fest returns for its 6th consecutive year, showcasing over 30 live acts, local restaurants, artists and artisans. It’s a day filled with music spanning across a variety of genres like indie rock, alternative, emo, punk and folk.

This year’s headliners feature Frankie and the Witch Fingers, a rock band hailing from Bloomington, Indiana, now based in Los Angeles. The band’s ’90s-inspired punk rock has captured over 90,000 monthly listeners on Spotify. They are joined by Cut Chemist, a DJ who has worked for 30 years creating energetic live sets. The trio that makes up indie rock band Brainstory will also grace the North Park community park stage from 5:45 p.m. to 7 p.m. with their blend of old-school Chicano soul and 1970’s jazz grooves.

Queen Bees and True North Tavern are among the venues, restaurants and bars set to host the 30 musical acts this Saturday. Some of these venues require a ticket to attend, but some performances are open to the public in and around North Park. Attendees have the option to purchase a general admission ticket for $25 before June 5 for entry to all performances, with the price increasing to $35 the day of.
