I have exciting personal news! Times of San Diego has hired me as a community reporter.
For you, this is a differentiation without a difference. I will still write this newsletter, still cover La Mesa and still write for Times of San Diego.
For me, it’s going to have a major impact on my life and finances. This is an exit from freelancer uncertainty. And the benefits! I’m delighted to put money in a 401(k) and have vision insurance for the first time in my life.
My first official day was Monday, two days after I turned 31 years old. Then, Tuesday was Lunar New Year, ushering in the Year of the Fire Horse. For astrology girlies, this signals big moves in the Chinese zodiac with things like changing jobs, ending relationships and more possible in the coming year. So it looks like I’m well on my way to embracing that fire horse energy!
