And a very happy December to us all. I’m sitting here wondering how this happened so fast, just as I do every December.
We’re getting back to our usual tempo around here at Times of San Diego. I’m perhaps running a little slower than usual after eating an entire table’s worth of leftovers in one sitting.
We’re starting the week off with an in-depth look at a hideous choice that is being forced on immigrants in the United States whose paperwork is still being processed: Leave now, or wait for your hearing in detention — a process that can take years, even decades in some cases. But even when they agree to be deported, it’s often to a third country, not even their nation of origin.
