Support local — restaurants and news

We’ve been on a roll lately with Uptown restaurant stories, thanks to reporter Frank Sabatini Jr. Last week, he profiled Nunu’s in Hillcrest, and this week he’s taking it next door to North Park and getting to know another rebranded restaurant from a chef who runs Michelin-starred restaurants.

You may have noticed, things have changed around here recently. We’ve ramped up our local coverage and worked to go deeper on local issues that impact your community.

For one thing, I’m new to this newsletter. I was hired about a month ago to manage all of our newsletters and grow our social media presence. If you don’t follow Times of San Diego, we’re currently on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Nextdoor and LinkedIn.

If, on Friday, you go to pick up a free copy of the Uptown News, you might notice it looks a bit different. We redesigned our community papers to provide an updated, modern design.
