Good afternoon, San Diego 🌊

Summer might be over, but that doesn’t mean the fun stops in San Diego. Pacific BeachFest is taking over the boardwalk this Saturday, and we have a rundown of the festivities.

Not familiar with BeachFest? It’s an activity-packed street fair, including a 5k, a fish taco contest and live music performances throughout the day. San Diego-based band The Sleepwalkers are headlining the festival, bringing a rockabilly, blues, country and cumbia fusion of sound to the stage.

It’s going to be a hot one, so make sure to stay hydrated. But what better way to beat the heat than hangout by the beach and dip in the waves? We have some suggestions for what to bring along to eat. It’ll be pretty easy to pretend it’s still summer these next few days, so we have a list of all the locations for fire rings across San Diego if you want to end the evening with a beach bonfire.

Locals’ summer is going strong, San Diego.
