Hello, Navajo and College Area!
This weekend, a block of the small but mighty Rolando Village neighborhood will transform into a bustling street of music, food and community.
This Sunday marks the 28th annual Rolando Street Fair, where 10,000 attendees are expected to shop with over 100 market vendors and try the best local food spots and craft breweries.
Of course, their pay-to-play Kids Zone will allow you to enjoy all the amenities while the kiddos let out all their energy on the bouncy houses, climbing wall and other games.
However, the music lineup is really what turns the fair from a pitstop to an all-day fest. From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., five local music acts will keep those good vibes going: Jungle Fire, Kogee Soul Alvino & the Dwells, Elizabeth Bowersox and SDSCPA Jazz Combo.
“We try to have a mix of different styles of artists, but that they all kind of fit the theme of an outdoor party,” said organizer Roberto Perez.
This year’s event is entirely volunteer-run, with all proceeds going to the event’s organizer, the Rolando Community Council.
