Good morning, San Diego ☀️

Here’s what we have for you today:

  • Local authorities are still searching for a sexually violent predator who went missing in Rancho Bernardo over the weekend.
  • The Imperial Beach coastline has been closed to human contact because of sewage contamination.
  • Monday could be the last day of cloudy weather around town, before temperatures go back up this coming week.

Voter guide to Nov. 3 general election in San Diego County

Our voter guide is here! Ballots will be hitting mailboxes next week, so ahead of that we have the rundown for what will be on yours.

On the state level, there is, of course, the race for governor. State Senate Districts 18, 32, 38 and 40 will be voting on their representation for the next four years. For the state Assembly there are seven seats up for grabs across San Diego County, those include Districts 74, 75, 76, 77, 78, 79 and 80. You can find out which districts you belong to here.

One part of your ballot that might feel a little lengthy will be the state propositions. There are the more on this year’s ballot— coming in at a grand total of 14— than there has been on any ballot in the last decade. They range from issues like the billionaire tax to state bonds.

We’ve also taken a look at the highly consequential congressional race to represent the re-drawn 48th District, one of a handful of races that could determine control of Congress.

Locally, we’ve been following the San Diego City Council races in Districts 2, 4, 6 and 8. There are also with three local ballot measures and two County Supervisor races in Districts 4 and 5 set for election.

Read about who and what will be on your ballot in our guide, and stay tuned for more elections coverage in the coming month.
