Glyn Franks has operated Second Chances-Bread of Life for more than a quarter-century. 

Each week, he distributes food from the San Diego Food Bank to people in need in Ocean Beach and Midway District.

A devout Christian, Franks draws inspiration for serving the poor from biblical passages suggesting people, through faith, are offered forgiveness and new beginnings.
