Internships play a key role in our mission to educate the next generation of journalists. That’s why we’re thrilled to introduce you to one of our summer interns.
Please meet Swasti Singhai from the University of California, Berkeley, who will write for La Mesa Courier.
Singhai is a rising junior at Berkeley who is studying chemistry and legal studies while reporting and editing for The Daily Californian. The San Diego native has interned at the District Attorney’s office in San Francisco.
“Now more than ever, local news is crucial,” Singhai said. “I look forward to learning about the diverse set of communities this city is home to.”
