A Flock license plate reader linked a San Diego man to a violent crime. He was five miles away.

Officials throughout the region appear to be embracing Automated License Plate Readers, saying that their benefits to public safety far outweigh concerns over surveillance. 

Two San Diego men who have been caught up in a legal nightmare after reportedly being misidentified by a Flock camera are preparing to sue the city for civil rights violations and negligence.
