Halloween happenings

Still figuring out your weekend plans? There’s plenty happening around the neighborhood and still time to pull together a costume. Here are some local highlights:

• PB Halloween Golf Cart Parade — Thursday at 5:30 p.m.
  Cruise along Garnet Avenue, Cass Street, and Mission Boulevard for this neighborhood favorite.
  
  
• Zombie Walk Trick-or-Treat —
  Thursday starting at 4 p.m.
  This family-friendly event offers trick-or-treating at local businesses, a zombie procession after dark and a 21+ bar crawl for the grown-up ghouls. (Note: Garnet Avenue will be closed for the event.)
  
  
• Pacific Beach Zombie Bar Crawl —
  Friday & Saturday
  Two nights of spooky fun at PB’s best bars.
  
  
• PB Halloween Bar Fest —
  Saturday, 3–9 p.m.
  Participating bars will have drink specials all evening long.
  

Or, if you prefer something low-key, take an evening walk and admire the spooky decorations your neighbors have put up!

Costumes are encouraged at all of the above. If you need a last-minute idea, shop your own closet first and try to get creative! For extra inspiration, check out local thrift stores like Buffalo Exchange, Goodwill, Second Wave Thrift or Vintage Threads & Grails for sustainable, one-of-a-kind finds.
