Happy Thursday, Beach and Bay!

If you’ve ever wondered who’s actually behind the decisions, programs and day-to-day efforts that shape Pacific Beach, tonight is one of the easiest ways to find out.

From street safety to local events to emergency response, a lot of moving pieces keep our beach community running. But it’s not always clear who’s responsible for what, or how to plug in if you want to get involved. That’s where tonight’s annual community expo comes in.

The Pacific Beach Town Council is hosting its 2026 Pacific Beach Community Expo this evening, April 16, bringing together the people and organizations working behind the scenes across our neighborhood.

Elected officials, first responders, city departments and local community groups will all be in one place at Pacific Beach Elementary from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

You’ll have the chance to meet more than 20 community leaders face-to-face, ask questions about local issues, get a clearer sense of how decisions are made and who to go to for answers.

Whether you’re curious about ongoing projects, looking for ways to get involved, or just want to better understand what’s happening in PB, this is a rare opportunity to make those connections in one stop.

The expo is free to attend and will be held at 1234 Tourmaline St.

If you’ve been meaning to get more connected to your community, this is one of the simplest ways to start. Stop by, ask a question, and walk away knowing a little more about the place we call home 🫶
