Events, eats and eggnog in Uptown

I hope you all had a fun (and full) Thanksgiving. 

Now, it’s time for a quick turnaround into the holiday season. Though we don’t have the glaring meteorological signs that winter has arrived, there are an abundance of events around town to remind us all that it’s about that time.

Right now we have two across-town holiday guides out full of festive events and eats. Here are the Uptown highlights from them.

Events:
Jungle Bells at the San Diego Zoo takes place from Dec. 19 through Jan. 4 (excluding Dec. 24). The city of San Diego is hosting December Nights at Balboa Park on Dec. 5 and 6. Expect entertainment and lights all aglow at both of these experiences.

Eats (and eggnog):
Different bars, restaurants and hotels are hosting holiday pop-ups and season-specific menu items. InsideOUT in Hillcrest has seasonal cocktails, Botanica Bar in North Park has a Miracle Pop-Up and Mothership in South Park has transformed their bar for a Lost on Holiday theme. The Lafayette Hotel’s lobby is filled with good tidings throughout the day, along with a seasonal cocktail menu at The Lobby Bar.
