Hello, La Jolla!
Hello again! I dedicated more than 30 years of my life to journalism, earning Emmys and accolades along the way, but nothing sticks with me more than the people I met who trusted me with their stories.
And at its core, that’s what local news is. It’s about the people we surround ourselves with, learn from and build our lives around. Local news does what national news can’t – it gets personal.
I will always be a vocal supporter of local news, and I hope you will, too. It benefits us all.
As the famous Frank Sinatra once sang: “Start spreading the news.” Make sure your friends and neighbors know Times of San Diego has more community news and more ways you can get it. It’s now home to the La Jolla Village News and other community publications that share neighborhood coverage from across the region.
And to quote someone else famous who was very big into local news (the fictional Ron Burgundy): “Stay classy, San Diego.”
