Can’t get more full than this

Remember the last Thanksgiving where you said, “I don’t think I can get any more full than this.” Maybe it was a week ago. 

Well, if neighborhoods could talk, College Area might be saying the same for itself in a couple years time. At least, that’s what city planners are thinking.

Our intern, Calista Stocker, dug into College Area’s proposed community plan, and it anticipates a need for a housing boom while San Diego State University continues to grow its student population. If the city council passes the plan, the volume of new development could make way for nearly 55,000 new residents in the community. Currently, there are around 20,000 people residing in College Area.

So far, a city council committee passed the plan along to the final stages of approval, which could happen sometime within the next month.
