There was a lot to applaud as Las Patronas handed out their major beneficiary checks — to the tune of $200,000-plus.

Among this year’s beneficiaries were Camp Stevens, the Fleet Science Center, and the San Diego Youth Symphony. 

The venue for the luncheon was The Marine Room, which created quite a splashy backdrop for executive chef Ananda Bareño’s cuisine.

Looking forward to Las Patronas’  80th Jewel Ball fundraiser in August with Jewel Ball chair Jenny McGowan steering the ship, or should I say the gondola, for Festa di Venezia!
