One of San Diego’s largest Christian churches will celebrate its 25th anniversary with “Legacy Sunday” services, including an appearance by the contemporary music group The Katinas.

The Sunday ceremonies will be led by pastor Miles McPherson, the former San Diego Charger who founded the Rock Church in 2000.

Since its inception, the Rock Church has expanded to six campuses, including Oahu, with an average weekly attendance of around 20,000 people in-person and through online streaming.

The celebratory services will highlight the legacy of the church, according to an announcement, including its various “Do Something” volunteer efforts.

The church hosts recurring events like monthly food distribution and an annual partnership with Toys for Joy in December.

An announcement from a Rock spokesperson said the church has hosted 55 million people in in-person and online services and baptized 16,000 people in the last 25 years.

The Point Loma campus will hold services at 8 a.m., 10 a.m. and noon. Services at the San Marcos, El Cajon, City Heights and Chula Vista campuses are at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. with a service in Spanish at 1 p.m. at the Chula Vista campus.
