It really does happen: Fire crews rescue cats stuck in trees, and Sunday one lucky feline was proof.
Shortly before noon, the Lakeside Fire Protection District was called out to rescue a calico cat stuck atop a tall palm tree.
Crews used a truck’s cherry picker to rescue the feline that was quickly brought to safety.
“An example of firefighters out doing what needs to be done,” the department wrote on Twitter.
