SAN DIEGO – A judge has issued a $50,000 warrant for the arrest of a companion of a man who is accused of stabbing three security guards outside a bar in Pacific Beach.

Brayden Jemar Sanders, 24, was a no-show for a hearing on Dec. 10, so a San Diego Superior Court judge issued the warrant, said Deputy District Attorney Lauren Wade on Dec. 15.

Sanders is accused of accompanying Dylan Robert Chase, 24, when Chase allegedly stabbed three security guards outside the Mavericks Beach Club on Oct. 19 at 860 Garnet Ave., close to midnight.

Sanders is charged with assaulting a guard without a weapon in only one charge. Chase is accused of four counts of using a knife in a confrontation with three guards outside the bar, but he and Sanders were not admitted inside Mavericks.

Both Chase and Sanders have pleaded not guilty. Chase remains free on a $80,000 bond and is living at a substance abuse treatment center in Tustin, according to court records.

A judge also reset the preliminary hearing for Chase to Jan. 28. Wade said future dates for Sanders will be set once he is in custody. His lawyer could not be reached for comment.
