Authorities Friday publicly identified the 60-year-old man fatally struck by a car while bicycling in Rancho Penasquitos.
A northbound 2019 Toyota Camry hit Yi Zhang of San Diego at about 5:30 p.m. Wednesday as he was riding in the 12900 block of Salmon River Road, east of Black Mountain Road and just south of state Route 56, according to the county Medical Examiner’s Office.
Zhang died at the scene of the accident, the agency reported.
