Homicide detectives on Saturday identified a man who died after being assaulted in an apartment in the unincorporated area of El Cajon.
Cory Alexander Desarno, 34, of East County, died from traumatic injuries inside an apartment at the Terraza Hills Apartments in the 400 block of E. Bradley Avenue shortly after 1:30 a.m. Tuesday, according to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Office.
“Sheriff’s homicide detectives are conducting an investigation, interviewing witnesses, and gathering more evidence,” Lt. Juan Marquez said in a statement. “At this stage of the investigation, the motivation and circumstances of the crime are still under investigation.”
