
Four people – two adults and two children – were killed on the I-15 in Temecula on Saturday night when a BMW crossed the median wall and crashed into a Nissan Sentra.
According to Onscene.Media, a BMW was reported as driving recklessly on the northbound I-15 just north of Winchester Road at about 9:33 p.m. Saturday, before it veered into southbound lanes and in the path of a Nissan Sentra, striking it and bursting into flames before becoming fully engulfed.
A passenger in the BMW, a 23-year-old woman from Moreno Valley, was pronounced dead at the scene, as were a 14-year-old and a 15-year-old who were sitting in its back seat.
The driver of the Nissan, a 35-year-old man from Wildomar, was also killed in the crash. The Nissan’s passenger, a 22-year-old man, was taken to a local hospital in critical condition.
The driver of the BMW was pulled from the burning wreckage with major injuries by a good Samaritan.
According to Onscene, the person who pulled the driver of the BMW out of the wreck, saving his life, was reportedly former NFL player Glenn Cadrez.
Charges for man driving the BMW are pending. The California Highway Patrol, which is conducting the investigation, says that alcohol is not believed to be a contributing factor in the collision.
