An investigation was underway Monday after San Diego Sheriff‘s deputies opened fire during a SWAT standoff in Santee.

Officers responded to a home in the 9000 block of Willowgrove Avenue around noon on Sunday, and a SWAT team was later called in.

The shooting was reported around 6:10 p.m. There was no immediate word on injuries.

The San Diego Police Department will handle the investigation.
