The first call came in at 8:38 a.m., according to the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department. A man fell but didn’t need to be hospitalized.
Twenty-five first responders were on the scene, and the cities of El Cajon and La Mesa assisted in the rescue.
Two more hikers needed aid about three hours later near Barker Way and Boulder Lake Avenue.
Authorities said a person was feeling faint and was sent to a nearby hospital for treatment. In this case, 24 personnel were called to the scene and the cities of El Cajon and La Mesa again assisted.
Saturday’s warm temperature was a factor, according to the SDFD. Temps neared 90 degrees in the area around the park, forecasters said.
