The California Highway Patrol on Monday revealed details of a successful retail theft enforcement blitz operation at a popular South County mall.

The operation, executed on Nov. 15 at Las Americas Premium Outlets near the border, resulted in 23 arrests, 265 stolen items recovered, and $11,000 worth of merchandise returned.

The efforts were led by CHP’s Organized Retail Theft teams, who work with retailers to combat organized crime.

The Highway Patrol urges residents to remain vigilant and report suspicious activity at retail establishments.
