A man sporting a ponytail and a Chargers jacket threatened a clerk with a handgun Tuesday while robbing a City Heights cellphone shop.
The holdup at the Cricket Wireless store in the 3600 block of University Avenue was reported shortly before 11:30 a.m., according to San Diego police.
The thief, described a roughly 5-foot-8-inch Latino who appeared to be in his 50s, fled the area on a bicycle, Officer Dino Delimitros said.
Authorities did not disclose what the robber stole.
