Police in Escondido were seeking the public’s help Sunday to locate a missing elderly man.
Miguel Franco, 83, was last seen about 2 p.m. on Jefferson Avenue, according to the Escondido Police Department.
He was described as a Hispanic man, about 5 feet 4 inches tall, 175 pounds with salt-and-pepper hair, and he was last seen wearing gray sweatpants and a dark shirt.
Franco may be attempting to get to Tijuana and has taken a bus there in the past, police said. He also spends time at Grape Day Park in Escondido.
Police asked anyone with information about his whereabouts to call the Escondido Police Department at (760) 839-4722.
