A motorist was killed in a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 8 in the Lakeside area, law enforcement authorities reported Thursday.
A vehicle struck a guardrail and flipped off the eastbound freeway near Los Coches Road shortly before midnight Wednesday, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The accident occurred during the rainy weather on Wednesday night.
The name of the person killed in the crash was not immediately available.
