Authorities asked the public Tuesday for help in identifying a thief who stole a woman’s wallet from her bridal suite at a Fallbrook resort on her wedding day.

The burglary occurred at Pala Mesa Resort on Old Highway 395 on the evening of June 7, according to sheriff’s officials.

The victim was unaware that the crime had occurred until the following morning, when she realized that her wallet was missing. Upon contacting her bank, she learned that someone had used one of her credit cards to make purchases minutes after she had left the suite to join her husband-to-be for their marriage ceremony.

Anyone with information about the case was asked to call San Diego County Crime Stoppers at (888) 580-8477 or contact them online. Tipsters may remain anonymous and could be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
